Amber Bowen and The Local Favorites

Born and raised in 100 Mile House, BC, Amber Bowen grew up with a love of music, animals and the outdoors.  She eventually picked up the guitar and started singing, performing and writing.  Her passion for music and song writing led her to Quesnel, BC, the home of Ontario native Wesley Gregg and FBR Recording. The two worked together to put out Amber`s first self titled, demo album and follow up EP, The Count.  During this time, they not only got married, but formed a band and began entertaining folks in the Cariboo region with their originals and Canadian indie folk covers.

In 2014, the pair began working on their third project, Every Love.  The project is the most collaborative effort to date with several engineers and artists putting their name on the list of credits.  Due to the increased energy and instrumentation of this EP, Amber and Wes are pairing up with Megan and Ike Lackey, also Ontario natives, to form Amber Bowen and The Local Favorites.  The group is looking forward to sharing their songs and witty banter with fans and folks throughout BC.
